Hi, I’m Mary Anna Brown

A collage artwork featuring a stylized illustration of a modernist house overlaid on vintage magazine ads and images. The house has an angular roof and large windows. The color palette is a mix of pastel tones and earthy shades.

I’m a mixed media artist based in Huntsville, AL, working primarily with collage, drawing, and painting. Although I originally saw myself as more of an appreciator of art history, earning both a BA and MA in the field, I discovered in 2020 that my true passion lies in creating art.

My work draws inspiration from childhood memories with my grandmother, flipping through magazines and cutting out paper dolls, which sparked my love for found imagery and collage. Using vintage print media layered beneath painted scenes of mid-century domestic architecture, I aim to invite viewers into a world of nostalgia, family life, and a touch of humor—come take a look at my art and see for yourself!
